Boko Haram attacked Bello Garba’s community in Baga Cross but he was able to escape with his family. While escaping, he saw multiple dead bodies, and amongst the bodies was a 10-month old child crying on his mother’s corpse. He picked him up and tried to escape with him. He trekked for 2 days to Monguno without any food or water and later got rescued by soldiers who took him to Maiduguri.
