Who we are

Neem Foundation is a leading crisis response organisation committed to promoting the protection and wellbeing of populations and communities living in contexts affected by conflict, violence, and fragility.

P1080541
Asia was held captive by her husband, who was a member of Boko Haram, in Sambisa forest where her life was completely restricted because she wasnÕt allowed to interact with other people. She was rescued by the Nigerian military with her two children when her husband and other Boko Haram militants had gone on an operation. Asia said that when she arrived to the safe house, Òthere was a new leaf of life.Ó When she first came to the Safe House, she couldnÕt laugh or smile and thought about how she would die soon. After spending time with one of the Neem Foundation psychologists, he made her laugh and smile for the first time. She hopes that her children will receive an education Òso they can get a western education,Ó and become doctors, engineers, or soldiers, to help her and their country.
